Create a Smart Environment

The Mymesh network is the ideal solution for large professional control systems. It can brings together thousands of nodes together in one large mesh network, so it covers the entire installation. Functionality is flexible from the installation and defined during the commissioning.

The versatility and robustness of the platform makes it suitable for all parts of the installation from functional areas back-of house to the most challenging requirements of the end-user.

With cyber crime on the rise, the security of any system is critical. Encryption of communication is only a start. True cyber security required an all encompassing approach. That is why Mymesh adopts a 'Secure by Design' principle. Do not settle for less.

Wise Healthcare

Healthcare buildings cover a wide range of archetypes from sprawling hospitals to smaller community buildings. In every case, there are opportunities to embrace the latest developments in LED lighting as a way improve the lit environment, improve the well-being of stakeholders, whilst cutting energy consumption, costs and carbon footprint.

The challenges however, in addition to the constraints of achieving lighting controls without extensive wiring, are more extensive. From the challenging wireless environment associated with life critical systems through to the flexibility of the needs across a broad range of functional spaces from in-patient rooms, to waiting areas through to circulation routes.

Building on our experiences and delivering solutions in the healthcare sector, we have overcome all of these challenges, demonstrating compliance in gaining NHS wireless policy approvals, whilst proving true flexibility in lighting controls as well as emergency lighting testing and monitoring at scale.

And there are more significant benefits the Healthcare sector can realise from the deployment of a secure, resilient Mymesh network. By leveraging real-time data and the knowledge of lighting locations, the ability to track assets becomes a possibility – whether high value medical equipment or key personnel, asset tracking is seen as a valuable service to many Healthcare clients – improving insights, increasing efficiencies, reducing costs.

But the possibilities extend even further, we are already working towards location based services where every connected light becomes a beacon to a smart device, enabling patients and visitors the ability to way find through hospitals more effectively, proving real-time, contextual information, enhancing customer experience and making healthcare buildings more engaging.

The possibilities are endless in delivering smarter healthcare buildings.

Secure

All Mymesh wireless communication is encrypted, and so is all the hardware. The 'secure-by-design' principle is the best defence against Cyber criminals that are always looking for weak spots to compromise the system and get access to the wider infrastructure.

The NHS has bad experiences with cyber attacks. Lighting is critical for the operation of a hospital, as plunging the building into darkness will go beyond the normal safety risks. Furthermore, poor security might give a back door to other IT infrastructure as well.

Mymesh has the approvals in place to work across the healthcare sector.

Scalable

Most wireless networks use the mesh approach, but in most cases need to connect many mesh networks together via a backbone. This makes it complex to design and a strenuous task to expand in future.

Mymesh is able to connect 10,000+ nodes in one single mesh network, This takes away the need for backbones and eliminates single-point of failure.

Hospitals are very large installations, consisting of various buildings on a site. Mymesh is the ideal solution to bring this all together in a simple way.

Robust

Wireless interference is high on the concern list for healthcare. If poorly designed, it can interfere with medical equipment and result in dangerous situations. Not for nothing that a lot of hospitals ban the use of mobile phones.

The Mymesh protocol has the ability to avoid the channels used for data transmission by wifi and bluetooth. Furthermore, it is actually silent for 90% of the time, leaving space for other systems in the building. This is one of the reasons that Mymesh is certified to work in this challenging environment.

Adaptive

It is all well to install a wireless control system that delivers on the requirements of today. However, we know that smart offices are developing in the next 10 years with functionality that is still behind the horizon.

Healthcare uses a lot of equipment, in many cases expensive, but also critical to patient care. Asset tracking helps locating items and therefore improve efficiency. At the same time it allows to reduce over-redundancy. And then we have not even touched on the most important asset in healthcare: people.
