Background

Plans for the new Willow Therapy Unit at Norwich Community Hospital, a £19.2m new facility, were lodged with Norwich City Council only last December. Northumberland-headquartered Merit has been appointed by Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust (NCH&C) to design and deliver its new 48 bed modular. The multimillion-pound modern facility, which has been designed with sustainability in mind, will be delivered in only 5 months.

Merit’s expert in-house design team have curated a facility which prioritises ease of access whilst also catering to the footfall requirements of both patients and staff.

Utilising advanced 4D BIM modelling technology and a product-based approach, Merit’s offering is especially suited to meet the current needs of healthcare facilities and with offsite construction manage to deliver the project in a short period of time.

Solution

All lights, sensors and switches are connected in a single wireless network. The absence of a network hierarchy allows for the functionality to be only determined at the final stage of commissioning. Furthermore, it gives maximum flexibility for future changes and expansion

Benefits

The Mymesh system is widely used in Healthcare installations across the NHS and beyond. It delivers improved efficiency, energy saving and a reduces the carbon footprint.

Furthermore, Mymesh allows many benefits beyond lighting, like asset tracking, way finding, legionella L8 compliance, etc.

The flexibility makes Mymesh the smartest choice for controls for hospitals, large and s
