A single pane of glass is a management console that presents data from multiple sources in a unified display. The glass, in this case, is a computer monitor or mobile device screen.
A single pane of glass Dashboard offers:
The Lumitel platform was developed to create a Single Pane of Glass dashboard to facilitate all different users with our clients, from maintenance to board level decision makers. It collects data from various sources, processes, stores, analyses and then presents it as information on all levels. The objective is to present all relevant information about the building (space) and its use in a centralised overview. In short, a Smart Building.
For a single pane of glass view to be effective, it needs to serve as a starting point from which a corporate executive or system administrator can get a sense of the big picture. For example, a dashboard for an office block might obtain data from building facility systems (HVAC, heating, lighting, etc), energy sub-metering and emergency lighting testing and integrate that information with data from its asset management database. The purpose of a unified display is to present operational data in an easy way. This information can then be used for decision making or to steer workflows for facilities management (eg. maintenance tickets).
Lumitel has evolved from Version 1 to Version 2 and is now making the next step with Version 3. Where Version 1 was mainly focused on customisation around a couple of specific clients, Version 2 enabled a scalable approach for monitoring emergency lighting (Lux Award 2019), sensors in the building (air quality, overflow) and linking with 3rd party systems like energy sub-metering.
Version 3 builds on this capability and makes it a very customer-centric and flexible platform where the user is in charge of its environment.
The key elements:
You can add/remove users, define user roles, set-up workflows, add floor plans, etc.
Your organisations may have multiple layers and sites. This can be reflected in the Dashboard with specific users and authorisation per section.
The British Standard BS 5266-1 gives clear guidelines on the requirement for testing Emergency Lighting. The dashboard allows you to monitor, report and execute the Emergency Lighting testing based.
You not only want to have a monthly report that the system is compliant, but also an immediate exception report if a failure occurs.
The Emergency Lighting can be tested based on the AST (Automatic Self Test) Emergency inverters. However, some applications may require you to schedule the testing at specific times.
Floor plan functionality allows you to easily identify the location of any exceptions.
Chess UK offers a Remote Commissioning Service that allows reconfiguration of the Mymesh installation based on (changed) customer requirements.
Lumitel Compliance functionality plus:
Chess UK offers a Remote Commissioning Service that allows reconfiguration of the Mymesh installation based on (changed) customer requirements.
You can control and monitor the lighting and other assets on the Mymesh network from your dashboard. Information from the network is summarised in convenient reporting.
Devices can report status, triggers, burning hours, etc. that are aggregated and displayed on various levels.
The Mymesh ecosystem offers various types of sensors that use the mesh network as a backbone to report information (for example air quality).
Mymesh products are available to interface with Modbus sensors to report on various parameters in your building.
You not only want to have a reporting on parameters, but also an immediate exception report if a failure occurs.
Lights and assets can be switched, dimmed via central Calendars via Workflows.
Certain events can be scheduled as persistent events in the Mymesh network. This ensures that these events will take place, even if internet connections are down.
Lumitel InControl functionality plus individual bolt-on modules:
Lumitel can be more than just a dashboard to report on your installation. It can hold all relevant information (datasheets, instructions, maintenance records) in one place to create a full single-pane-of glass digital twin of your building.
You can integrate assets from various different networks into one place using our BIDbox solution. Various protocols are supporeted, like BACnet, MODbus, LonWorks, KNX and LoraWAN.
Receiving energy data is one thing, the next level is to analyse and take action to reduce your cost and carbon footprint. Simble is the state-of-the art soltion to monitor and control your energy.
Lumitel can provide seamless integration with your CAFM (Computer Aided Facilities Management) system to optimise your maintenance effectiveness and efficiency.
You probably don't want the heating and cooling to work at the same time, probably combined with all the windows open. With many BMS systems this is an occurance. AI Building Commander interfaces with all types of BMS systems in your building and optimises energy effiency with optimal comfort.
We all expect basic functionality (a PIR sensor is triggered and the light switches on). Where this is arranged persistent in the Mymesh network, more intetelligent flows may be required to optimise your building. Lumitel offers customised functionality for your application.
Each Mymesh node can act as an iBeacon in your building. The backbone is already in place to introduce indoor positioning.
The unique features of Mymesh offer the opportunity to have a mobile app that can control the lighting, heating, blinds for the room you are in, without managing credentials or user profiles.
Where are assets in the building? When are they moving? When do they move outside a (virtually) ring-fenced area. Asset tracking can track your critical and valuable items for you.
